  1. RexxBase - The Database For REXX V2.10.
  2. RexxBase is a Rexx External Interface DLL
  3. that allows OS/2 V2.x command procedures to
  4. access dBase III and IV files.  Rexx programs
  5. can control files by reading, writing and
  6. updating data fields directly.  RexxBase
  7. generates dBase field names and values that
  8. are available directly to a Rexx program.
  9. The Rexx program can change this data and
  10. update dBase files directly.  Also database
  11. file control information is available to the
  12. Rexx program.  This information includes such
  13. data as last date the database was updated,
  14. number of records on file, field names, etc.
  15. RexxBase supports NDX and DBT files.

  17. This release of RexxBase contains a GUI
  18. front-end program to assist in database
  19. development.

  21. This release also contains a set of VX/Rexx
  22. macros developed by Stefan Dietz of
  23. Germany.
